Posture + Breathe Kit
+ FOR YOUR RESPIRATORY STRENGTH
IntelliSkin and The Breather, the #1 selling Respiratory Muscle Training (RMT) device have come together to offer a deeper level of postural and breath support.
+ BREATHE EASIER WITH GOOD POSTURE
The Foundation Pro activates muscles which support alignment of the head, neck, and spine, allowing for optimal posture to fully support diaphragm strengthening.
The Breather, a drug-free, evidenced-based Respiratory Muscle Trainer strengthens inspiratory and expiratory muscles independently. Proven performance benefits include:
• Improved oxygen uptake
• Improved oxygen uptake
• Improved VO2Max
• Decreased time to fatigue
• Improved muscle strength contributing to postural control
• Decreased dyspnea (shortness of breath)
• And other clinical benefits.
+ RESPIRATORY PROTECTION
Respiratory pathogens such as the virus causing COVID-19 enter the body through the epithelium, the inner lining of the upper airway system. It is therefore important to optimize this first layer of defense to reduce the risk of infection. Pulmonary hygiene aims to remove excess mucus from the lungs and is critical for maintaining function and integrity of the local respiratory immune system. By improving respiratory muscle strength and cough effectiveness, RMT using the Breather can actively contribute to better airway clearance and pulmonary hygiene, thereby reducing the risk of chest infections, pneumonia, and pulmonary complications.

+ HOW DO I USE THE BREATHER WITH MY INTELLISKIN?
For maximum benefit use the Breather while wearing your IntelliSkin top 6 days a week. Once during the morning and once in the evening. This will allow you to breathe better and train your respiratory muscles to perform their best.
Check your posture. Start by wearing your IntelliSkin top for 30 minutes during your morning and evening routine. As you become more posture fit, you will want to increase duration of IntelliSkin use.
Mastering optimal respiratory muscle training technique requires diaphragmatic breathing. To do this sit upright, place your hand on your stomach, breath slowly through your nose with your stomach moving out against your hand. Keep your shoulders and upper chest relaxed. Exhale slowly through pursed lips.
Begin using the Breather at the easiest inhalation and exhalation resistances by rotating both dials to number 1. Holding the Breather, secure the mouthpiece with your lips making sure not tobite down on the mouth piece.
Inhale deeply and forcefully for approximately two to three seconds. Pause for approximately one second. Now, exhale forcefully for two to three second making sure not To let your cheeks puff out. The exhaled resistance should be generated from your airways, not your cheeks.
Each session will consist of two sets and 10 reps per set. That equals 20 reps in the morning and 20 reps in the evening. A rep is a full breath in and out. For example, when you inhale and exhale, that is one rep. A set is the number of reps done in a row. A session is the number of sets completed in each sitting. If you can’t complete the recommended number of reps reduce dial settings or number of repetitions.
Detailed instructions on how to use The Breather are found on the package as well as the website. It is important to follow these instructions carefully.
